2. Mr, A. C1 Holschuk, 1924 Laurel Avenue, Mpls.(nwns
property at 2665 Woodcrest Drive) felt that assessment is
than the benefit received.
3. Mr, H.W, Schultz, Attorney for Don Voge, 6000 Highway #8,
His Client feels that the Assessment should not be charged
until area is developed. Assessment amounts to approximately
50% of total project cost. Requests reduction or complete
elimination of assessment.
There being no further objections the Mayor declared
the hearing closed.
The Assessment Roll will be adopted Sept. 10, 1962.
A resolution regarding storm sewer problems in Ramsey
County was read.
Motion by Crane to adopt Resolution #111. Seconded
by Hodges. 4 Ayes.
Mr, Sullivan entered at 9:45.
Letter from Richard Jones, State Representative regarding
population trends in the suburbs as predicted by the Metropolitan
Planning Commission was read and placed on file. An invitation
to attend a meeting regarding this matter was extended to all
Mounds View residents byMr. Jones.
A letter regarding gas service on Pleasant View Drive from
County Road H•2 to County Road H was read and placed on file..
The Clerk was instructed to notify St. Paul N.S.P. Gas
Company about this matter and to request immediate action.
Mr. Hodges presented the proposed budget for 1963 for the
Recreation Committee and stated that there are two openings on the
Recreation Committee to be filled. Interested citizens may apply
at the Village Office..
The Mayor announced that a budget and agenda meeting will
be held at 6;00 P.M. on September 6, 1962 at the Village Office.
Mr. Sullivan reported that both Gloria Circle and the Village
Hall parking lot work would be completed in the near future.
Mr. Piehowski, Building Inspector, presented a request for
variance for Mr, Lee Parson, 7940 Sunnyside Road. Motion by
Blanchard to allow variance to building code and reduce side .yaxd
set back, as requested to 4feet 6 inches,Seconded by Malvin. 5 Ayes
The "Building Inspector was directed to notify the owner
of a farm on Irondale Road to remove fire - guttedout buildings
from said farm, as they constitu'e a very definite hazard.
Motion by Crane to authorize the Engineer and Mr. Malvin
to nave N,.S,P. install lights on parking lot at the Village Hall..
Seconded by Hodges, 5 Ayes.
The Engineer and Mr, Sullivan are authorized to represent
the Village at the meeting of the Ramsey County League of Municipalities
Storm Sewer Comm. on September 11, 1962.
