given verbal approval to the plans for the improvement of
Hillview Road and Quincy under State Aid Funds.
The Attorney will acquire the right -of -way for Hillview Rd.
The Engineer presented a bill from the Herbst Construction
Company and stated that he felt the portion of the bill for
emergency work on the water main should be back - charged to the
original contractor.
Motion by Sullivan to pay Herbst Construction Company $250.00
for emergency repairs to water main and to back charge Sandstrom
and Hafner for said work under terms of performance bond.
Seconded by Crane. 5 Ayes.
The Clerk was instructed to notify the firm of Sandstrom &
Hafner of repairs and charges.
Motion by Sullivan to pay Herbst Construction Company $72.00
for work on Storm Sewer. Seconded by Crane. 5 Ayes
The Engineer reported that the matter of the drainage
in Knollwood was still not solved and after some discussion,
the following action was taken:
Motion by Crane to have the Engineer prepare a pre -
preliminary report cn bdrOno Knollwood Road from County Road H
to County Road H -2 up to State Aid standards and to include
storm sewer system. Seconded by Blanchard. 5 Ayes.
The Groveland drainage problem was tabled.
The application for a federal grant for Sanitary Sewer
was referred to the Engineer.
A memo from the Attorney regarding sewer assessment
procedure and alternatives was received for study.
An Ordinance dealing with Petit larceny was read.
Motion by Sullivan to adopt Ordinance #96. Seconded by Blanchard
5 Ayes.
Motion by Malvin to pay bills submitted. (list attached)
Seconded by Crane 5 Ayes.
Motion by Blanchard to approve licenses. (list attached)
Seconded by Malvin. 5 Ayes
The Clerk was instructed to notify the Tom Thumb Superette,
that no outside signs regarding the sale of beer can be
constructed without Council approval
An application for On -Sale Liquor License was received
on this date from Mr. Andrew Simon and placed on file.
Motion by Blanchard to pay F.M. Dolan and E.V. Dolan
$600.00 for appraisal of Skiba, Voge, and Moga properties as
requested by the Village Attorney. Seconded by Hodges. 5 Ayes.
