VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW
RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA
The regular meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was
called to order by Mayor Crane at 8:00 P.M., February 25, 1963 at
2401 Highway # 10.

Motion by Blanchard to correct minutes of February 11,
as follows: Paragraph # 7, Page # 3 - Number 1 shall read:
Letter to State Health Department regarding aeration sewage
plant. ( on file) Mr. Knutson stated that via a telephone conversation
with the department they expressed their doubts as to the possibility
of their approval of this system. Mr, Knutson was instructed to obtain
a letter to this effect from the Department of Health.
Seconded by Crane. 4 Ayes.
Motion by Sullivan to accept the minutes of February 11
as corrected. Seconded by Malvin. 4 Ayes.
Motion by Crane to appoint Mr. James R. Monson
as a member of the Police Commission. Seconded by Blanchard. 4 Ayes.
Mayor Crane reported the following:
1. Village of Brooklyn Park petitioned to withdraw entirely
`'rom the NSSSD. (Copy of petition on file.)
2. Ramsey County League Meeting to be held February 28
in Maplewood.
3. Police Department will prepare emergency phone number
stickers for distribution by local scout troops.
Mr. Jack Bell, Attorney for Paul Indykiewcz presented a
request to relocate the living portion of the Sahara Club as a
dwelling at Groveland Road and County Road I. Lot # 56.
Motion by Sullivan to set Public Hearing at 8 :00 P.M.
on March 11, 1963 4or the proposed relocation of this building.
Notice to be published and mailed to affected property owners.
Seconded by Malvin. 4 Ayes.
Clerk instructed to request Ramsey County Engineer
to present plans for County Road I and Groveland Road at this hearing.
Mr. Bell presented a rather forceful plea for a rezoning
of a parcel of land located approximately across from Fairchild
)Avenue on Highway # 10, for the purpose of constructing a liquor bar,
on and off sale. Mr. Bell is representing Mr. Clarence Peterson in
this matter. This matter has already caused some disturbance in the
Village and the Council referred Mr. Bell to the Planning Commission.
If all forms are forthcoming, the Council will set a Public Hearing
on March 11, 1963.
