will be the last day of the skating season.
The date of the detachment from NSSSD for Brooklyn Park
will be March 12, 1963.
The Engineer informed the Council that dynamite was being
used in % pound charges on the Hillview Road project. This was
given an OK by the Engineer after consultation with the Village'
Attorney. The contractor has taken out additional insurance to cover
this activity and a police officer is present during blasting.
Motion by Blanchard to approve financial statement and order
publishing of the same, Seconded by Crane. 4 Ayes.
The Engineer presented the following to the Council for study:
1.. Approximate figures for water project 1962 -2 and 1962 -3
2. Change Order # 2 for water project 1962 -3
3. Final Estimate for project 1962 -2 and 1962 -3
on file.
The minutes of the Planning Commission were read and placed
Mr. Charles Jackson, Civil Defense Director, stated that the
^urvival and operational plan for the Village should be ready and
presented at the March 25th meeting.
Motion by Crane that the Civil Defense Director be paid
salary of $30.00 per month effective March 1, 1963.

Motion by Sullivan to have Mr. Johnson and Mr. Skiba
-.ttend the Water Superintendant school at the University of Minnesota
`rom March 18 to March 20, 1963. Village to pay expenses incurred.

The Treasurer presented her monthly reports.
Motion by Sullivan to authorize the Treasurer to purchase
=rom the Water Bond Redemption Fund $80,000.00 of Government Bills,
from the General Fund $35,000.00 of Government Bills, from the
Improvement Revolving Fund $5,000.00 of Government Bills
econded by Blanchard.
4 Ayes.
Motion by Blanchard to approve licenses. (list attached)
seconded by Sullivan. 4 Ayes.
Motion by Blanchard to pay bills submitted. (list attached)
econded by 1V1alvin. 4 Ayes.
Mr. Bengston, Insurance Agent for the Village; Mr. Olson,
=iscal Agent; Mr. Knutson, and Mr. Meyers will be requested to attend
'he nest 'agenda . meeting on March 4, 1963 -at 4:00 P.M.
Motion by Blanchard to adjourn. Seconded by Sullivan. 4 Ayes
