A Mr. Gospodarski appeared requesting a subdivision
of his lot in order to build a new home. Motion by Sullivan to
approve the subdivision request and waive the 100 foot frontage reg-
ulation to allow a 93 foot frontage, further to waive the 10 foot
setback regulation for garage from side yard and allow a 5 foot 2
inches setback because of hardship, Seconded by Malvin. 5 Ayes.
The Clerk informed the Council that all papers for the
proposed rezoning of Hugo Bjorkman property were completed and on file.
Motion by Sullivan to set a Public Hearing on March 25 at 9:00 P.M.
for the purpose of rezoning the Northeast % of the Southeat % of
section 5, Township 30, Range 23 from R -1 to B -3 with special use
permit and R -3 for multiple dwellings. The Clerk shall *Buse such
notices as may be required by law to be published and mailed. Said
request and developer to be at next Planning Commission Meeting with
such information as maybe necessary. Planning Commission to give a
report on this at the Public Hearing. Seconded by Hodges. 5 Ayes.
A Mr. Moe appeared requesting final approval of the sub -
division :of his lot. Preliminary approval givelin 1962. Motion
by Crane to approve subdivison as requested ( Copy on file)
Seconded by Blanchard. 5 Ayes.
At a residents request, the Clerk will investigate
the clean -up; paint -up; fix -up campaign dates in surrounding
communities to coordinate Mounds View Village campaign with theirs.
The Attorney was instructed to check the Ordinance regarding
NSF checks and to recommend changes need.:,':.
Mr. Wicklander, 3737 2nd st. N.E. (Su -8 -0827) requested
the Village to sell or offer to sell all or part of the peat being
removed on the Hillview project. This was referred to Mr. Hodges
and the Engineer for study and recommendation.
Mayor Crane presented the report of the Chief of Police
regarding County Road H -2. ( on file)
Motion by Crane to send a work order to the County for
the following.
1. Have a white line painted in the center of County Road H -2
from Highway # 8 to Highway # 10.
2. Have a clearly painted yellow line in the" No Passing"
zone in the same area. .
3. Have signs erected stating speed limits and "Speed
Electrically Timed."
Seconded by Blanchard. 5 Ayes.
The Policy report for February, 1963 was read and filed.;
A letter from the Police Chief regarding pay of Officer
Kardell was read and filed.
Motion by Crane to concur with recommendation of Police
Chief and raise Officer Kardell's salary from $50.00 to $100.00
• per month effective March 15, 1963. Seconded by Malvin. 5 Ayes.
A letter from Governor Anderson regarding employment
of the handicapped was read and filed.
