HomeMy WebLinkAboutgr00090_000009_pg26-3- 0,30026 Mr. Hodges stated that after investigation of the Twelve Oaks Park Site a request would be made of the Village Engineer to do a topographical map of this park site. A resolution regarding NSSSD utilizing their influence and resources in obtaining a sewage outlet far the Village as soon as possible was read. Motion by Crane to adopt Resolution # 118. Seconded by Hodges. 5 Ayes. Motion by Sullivan to have the Clerk advertise for bids on a used dump truck as soon as the-spees. were prepared. Seconded by Blanchard. 5 Ayes. The matter of water meter repair and testing service to other Villages was discussed and the Council agreed that the Village shall charge the same amount as the City of Minneapolis for this service. The income from this source will be used to defray the cost of this equipment. The Fiscal Agent, Mr, Olson, stated that he would have a report ready at the next regular meeting regarding the Water Construction Funds. The Engineer reported on the following items: 1. The County requirements for the rebuilding of county roads damaged during construction are very strict and would entail quite an expense. It is the belief of the Engineer that some sharing cost could be arranged as the road would be better than original. 2. The matter of relocating N.S.P. power poles has not yet recieved an answer but should have one by next meeting. 3. Soil tests needed to better estimate sewer and road construction costs. Motion by Crane to authorize the Engineer to have soil tests taken at approximately 15 to 20 sites in the Village at a cost not to exceed $750.00 . Seconded by Blanchard. 5 Ayes. 4. The N.S.P. Gas Company will relocate a line in the Hillview- Quincy Area. 5. The Montgomery Construction Company filed their newly required statement of witholding. ( on file) The Engineer was instructed to investigate the ditches North of Hillview Road project in proposed trailer park area and present findings at public hearing if possible. Clerk Blanchard left meeting at 10:17 P.M. Motion by Sullivan to approve the Final Engineer's Estimate on Water Project 1962 -2 and 3 to withold 10% fer clean -up in the Spring. Seconded by Malvin. 4 Ayes. Motion carried. The Deputy Clerk and Village Treasurer were instructed to sell $10,000.00 of U.S. Treasury Bills from General Fund and transfer $10,000.00 from the General Fund to the Water Construction Fund.
