HomeMy WebLinkAboutgr00090_000010_pg118-3- 0J0118 An ordinance prohibiting bad checks was presented by the Attorney. Motion by Hodges to adopt ')rdinance # 107. Seconded by Malvin. 4 Ayes. The Attorney reported that Mr. 0. Newton, 8319 Groveland Road will donate approximately 4 acres of land to the Village for park purpose and that a letter of -conveyance was being prepared. The Engineer will survey and stake out actual corners of said property. Mr. Jackson, Civil Defense Director, requested an informal approval for the Civil Defense Department to obtain a garage and move it next to the Recreation Department garage near the Village Hall at no expense to the Village. The Council gave their consent, but reserved the final approval until the building could be inspected and approved for such use. Motion by Blanchard to pay bills submitted in the amount of $ 3,674,40. Seconded by Hodges. 4 Ayes. Motion by Blanchard to approve license application. (list attached) Seconded by Malvin. 4 Ayes. Motion by Blanchard to concur with recommendation of the Police Commission and to award the bid for the new Police car to Rosenthal Ford. Amount of bid is $2,147.00 Seconded by Sullivan.. 4 Ayes. The Council pointed out that this was the only firm that met or exceeded specifications as advertised. Motion by Sullivan to send Mr. Skiba to the Bituminous Conference at the University of Minnesota on November 11, 1963 and to pay expenses incurred. Seconded by Blanchard, 4 Ayes.
