Mr. Meyers will furnish copies of a 'snowbird' ordinance to the Council for study. The Clerk was directed to check the insurance the Village has for liability, to see if it is adequate. The Planning Commission minutes were read and filed, A request from Bell Telephone Co. to place an underground cable in the Village was referred to the Engineer. Motion by Blanchard to approve renewal of plumbing license for Moller Plumbing. Seconded by Malvin. 4 Ayes. Motion by Blanchard to sell $35,000.00 worth of Government notes held by the Village. $25,000.00 to go to Bond Redemption Fund and $10,000.00 to be transferred to Water Construction Fund, as this last amount was inadvertently put in Bond Redemption Fund. Seconded by Sullivan. 4 Ayes. PUBLIC HEARING The Mayor opened the public hearing for rezoning of a portion of the Mueller property. The Clerk read the published legal notice and attested to the mailing of same to affected property owners. Mr. J. Bell, re- presenting Mr. Mueller, stated the reasons for this request. Mr. Mueller stated that he did not intend any construction until sanitary sewer was available. The only objector to the proposal was Mr. Karjalahti, 5092 Longview Drive, who objected because of possible decrease in value of surrounding homes and property. Motion by Malvin to rezone,Lot 4, Block 1, Mueller's Addition and Lot E, Lot F,and Lot G lgcated So. of Cty-. Rd. H2 and East of Knollwood Motors Co., contigent upon application and acceptance of building permit. Se- conded by.Hodges. 4 Ayes. THE MAYOR CLOSED THE PUBLIC HEARING. The Attorney was directed to prepare an attendment to the zoning ordinance regarding landscaping in all commercial and industrial zones. A representative of Carlson - Lavine Co. requested rezoning of a por- tion of their property in the 12 Oaks area for multiple dwellings. This was referred to the Planning Commission for study and recommendation. Motion by Sullivan to set public hearing on this matter for 9:30 P.M., Jan. 27, 1964. Seconded by Blanchard. 4 Ayes. The applicant was warned that if proper papers were not in the village office early enough, said hearing would not be held on the date. Upon recommendation of the building inspector, motion by Hodges to allow variance of square footage requirement of Mr. James Monson, 8145 Groveland Road, and allow him to construct home with 660 sq. ft. of living area. Seconded by Sullivan. 4 Ayes.
