HomeMy WebLinkAboutgr00090_000011_pg37PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA 030037 The regular meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was called to order by Mayor Hodges at 8:10 P.M., March 23, 196+ at 2.01 Highway #10. Blanchard Richard Meyers Les Knutson Walter Skiba Paul Boog Motion by LaVaque to approve the minutes of March 9, 196+ as present- ed. Seconded by Sullivan. 5 Ayes. Motion carried. Clerk Blanchard reported that the N.S.S.S.D. let bids for additional construction. Gene Skiba announced that he was willing to give the Village a thirty foot easement on his property. This proposed road easement would be for 66o ft. Motion by Sullivan to direct the Attorney to prepare an Ease- ment from Mr. Skiba. This is to be an extension of Quincy from Oakland Ave. tr+ Highway #8. Seconded by LaVaque. 5 yes. Motion carried. Mr. Werner, resident from Sherwood Road, asked about the progress of the extension of Silver Lake Road. The Attorney replied that a letter was sent to the County Engineer to designate Red Oak Drive North of Highway #10 as the extension route. Mr. James Schlichtmann reported that the Mounds View Businessmen's Associati.n is planning to co- sponsor an Easter Egg Hunt for Pre - School and School children thru the 5th grade. Motion by Hodges to authorize the use of the Village Hall and grounds for Saturday, March 28, between 2:00 and 4:00 P.M. to be used for the First Annual Easter Egg Hunt and author- ize the Recreation Committee to spend up to twenty dollars for this event. Seconded by Rustad. 5 Ayes. Motion carried. The minutes of the Planning Commission meeting held March 17, 196+ were read by LaVaque. Motion by Blanchard to concur with the Planning Commission's recommendation to approve the preliminary plot by Gulf Oil Company for construction of a service station in the South corner of 11.6 acres(a portion of the S•E.; of the S.E.4 of Section 8, Township 30, Range 23) on which Gulf Oil Company has an option, subject to further evaluation of access onto Highway Avenue and subject to giving the Village a minimum 60 foot easement of the Easterly and South - easterly line of
