The regular meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was
called to order by Mayor Hodges at 8:00 P.M. May 11, 1964 at
2401 Highway # 10.

Motion by La Vaque to accept minutes of April 27, 1964.
Seconded by Rustad. 5 Ayes.
The Police Department reported that Mr. Moinicken had
complied with Council directive in removing junk vehicles on his
property.
Mr. Knutson, Village Engineer,presented plans for the
revised surface water drainage program and explained the changes.
Mr. Dale Scott - 7969 Sunni side - will pick up a copy to
present to the citizens who were at the previous council meeting.
Said map and any statements regarding same will be returned to
Village at the meeting on Monday - May 18, 1964.
A request for subdivision of property was received from
Mrs. Ethel Lewis.
Motion by Blanchard to approve subdivision and grant front
footage variance allowing three lots one 74 feet, one 75feet and one
85 feet at the South 85 feet of the North 205 feet of Lot 23,
Auditors Subdivison Number 89, Ramsey County, Minnesota
The matter of a regulatory ordinance for motor boating on
Spring Lake was referred back to the Attorney after he furnished the
Council with copies of the Fridley Ordinance.
Mr. Sullivan reported that the Spring Lake Park Jaycees were
going to work with the Lakeside Park Commission for park improvement,
and requested the Attorney to prepare an agreement between the two
organization.
The Engineer was instructed to re- present the preliminary
plan for the drainage in the Pinewood Terrace Area.
Mr. Beach from the Department of Agriculture, Division of
Plant Industry, State of Minnesota, presented a brief talk on canker
worms and told of the methods of prevention and elimination of them.
Motion by Rustad to hire Minnesota Helicopter to spray the Village for
Canker Worms on or near the 14th of May at a total cost of $550.00.
Adm. Clerk to notify company. Seconded by Sullivan. 5 Ayes.
