HomeMy WebLinkAboutgr00090_000012_pg083-2- 0d0683 The Mayor opened the Public Hearing on the Water and Street Improvement at 9:00 P.M. The Clerk read the published legal and mailed notices of hearings for the Quincy Street Extension and for the Woodcrest and 4th Street extension. The Mayor asked if anyone was present regardhg the Quincy Street Extension and there were no answers. Upon advise from the Attorney: Motion by Rusted to continue the hearing on this project until August 24, 1964 at 9:00 P.M. and to have the Clerks Office notify by mail all affected property owners urging their presence at this hearing. Seconded by La Vaque. 5 Ayes. The matter of the extension of Woodcrest and4th Street was discussed by the Council and those present. The Mayor called for objectors to the proposal and they are as follows: Mr. Hubert Bona - 5155 4th Street --- objects to the proposed method f assessing cost and does not need the road. (not concerned with water) There being no further objectors the Mayor closed the hearing. Motion by Rustad to order the improvement: Water and Street Improvement on Woodcrest Drive from Irondale to 4th Street and 4th Street from Woodcrest to Woodale Drive. Seconded by La Vaque. 5 Ayes. Motion by Blanchard to order final plans and specs and advertise for bids on above project. Bid opening to be August 24, 1964 at 8:00 P.M. Seconded by Hodges. 5 Ayes. The Clerk's Office was instructed to notify by mail Mr. Glisan nd Mr. Eigenheer of the above action. Motion by La Vaque to set a charge of $2.00 per seal to replace broken seals on water meters after the first replacement. _,econded by Hodges. 5 Ayes. The minutes of the Planning Commission meeting were read and filed. Mr. Schott reported that the County road crew had used 39Z tons of hot mix at 27 locations in the Village to patch holes. The Attorney was directed to prepare ammendments to the Trailer Park Ordinance providing for permit fees and a heavier patio .,arface . The Engineer reported the following: 1. Presented the preliminary report on water service extension 'n Lakeside Park. 2. A report for the informal meeting regarding Silver Lake Road. 3. A report on camparable costs for sewer maintenance building sing concrete blocks for construction and steel building. 4. A preliminary report on the Sanitary Sewer Lateral Services. The Engineer was instructed to prepare an estimate of cost of cleaning the Judicial Ditch from Highway # 8 to Rice Creek.
