Meyers also said that it hadn't been the Council that brought the matter into the newspapers and courts. That since it was, the Council felt it had the right to protect the Clerk's Office. Trustee La Vaque called Fried's accusation a reflection on the whole group. Mr. Fried stated he did not believe that the Village Attorney needed to represent the Clerk. Mr. Blanchard stated that he did not agree with Mr. Fried. Mr. Fried accused Adm. Clerk, Mr. Boog of malfeasance of office. Mr. Blanchard stated that since Mr. Fried had accused Adm. Clerk, Paul Boog, of wilfull and deliberate intention in committing the error on the ballots the Council must protect the Clerk's Office. Fried stated that these things might not come up. Meyers said these things should come in since they are the basis of the Court Trial. Motion by Blanchard in regards to the election contest of Samuel B. Fried, the Village Attorney should represent the Village Clerk and his staff at all hearings, trials, and appeals regarding this matter. Seconded by La Vaque. Roll Call of Officers: Hodges, Blanchard Schott, La Vaque, Rustad, Aye. No Nayes. Motion Carried. Mayor Hodges stated that the Council should back up the Clerk's Office. Meyers stated that the trial would begin at 9:30 A.M. December 21, 1964. Mr. Fried invited the Council to attend. g8 Meyers reported that he had contacted a Mr. Forsman from the Bell Telephone Company. There is no charge to the Village for the installation of telephone cable. Motion by La Vaque to adopt Ordinance # 123. An Ordinance designating Johnson Drive. Seconded by Rustad. 5 Ayes. Motion Carried. Motion by Blanchard to adopt Resolution' 181 o correct assessments. MA # 35- Lateral Water Improvement 19 - and 1960 -2, Divis=..on # 34356, MA # 34, Area t:Tater Improvement 1960 -1 and 1960 -2, Division # 34356, MA # 33, Street Improvement # 58, Division 34354. Seconded by Rustad. 5 Ayes. Motion Carried. Motion by Blanchard to accept the recommendations of the Engineer as the low bidders for the Sewer Lateral Improvement Project 1964.3.. The low bidders are as follows: Schedule A Schedule B Schedule C Nodland Construction Company Sandstrom and Hafner, Inc. Peter Lametti $ 226,580.89 214,000.00 278,035.13 TOTAL $ 718, 616.02 and authorize the Clerk and Mayor to execute the contracts after examination. Seconded by Rustad. 5 Ayes. Motion Carried. Motion by Blanchard to approve the list of licenses submitted. Seconded by La Vaque. 5 Ayes. Motion Carried. Motion by Blanchard to pay the bills totaling $ 173,024.73. Seconded by Schott. 5 Ayes. Motion Carried. Clerk Blanchard read the financial report of Lakeside Park Commission for the period 2 -18 -64 to 12 -1 -64. Meyers asked about the financing of the sewer improvement Paoject. He was instructed to continue.
