The matter of the Village licensing of Beauty Shops was referred to the Attorney for study and recommendation. Motion by Blanchard to approve the agreement with Ramsey County regarding the Silver Lake Road extension and to authorize the Mayor and Clerk to execute. Seconded by Rustad. 4 Ayes. Motion by Blanchard to extend the time limit for the beginning of construction of the duplexes on the East side of Raymond North of County Road H -2, until May 2, 1965. Seconded by La Vaque. 4 Ayes. The request of the Nodland Construction Company for a storage area for their equipment was discussed and the following action taken. Motion by Blanchard to authorize the use of a portion of the Village Hall area by Nodland Construction for storage of equipment 'caring construction with no fee involved. Seconded by Malvin. 4 Ayes. Motion by Blanch:d to remove the w7 ter meters on La Porte Dr. Ind reset them back to ziro and to charge a flat minimum usage for the rime these meters had t, De left operating to prevent freezing. ieconded by Malvin. 4 Ayes. The Attorney was (irected to prepare an amendment to the Water Ordinance # 74 to hange the wor(" ng on the billing procedure from discount to penalt'' for late payments. Motion by Blanchard to close the Village office at noon on Good Friday, April 16, 1)65. Seconded by La Vaque. 4 Ayes. Mr. Glen Dawson, gave a report for the Police Civil Service Commission as follows: 52 applications for patrolmen received; 34 written tests given; 10 oral exams; 2 applicants certified; 10 pre oral exams to be given. The Clerk's Office was directed to direct a letter to the Police Civil Service Commission requesting certification of three men for Patrolmen by May 1, 1965.
