Mayor Hodges reported that two picnic tables were being
wilt from funds docated by the Mounds View Lions Club and the •
,rea next to the Village Hall was being cleared.
Trustee Rustad reported on the large amount of dead fish
along the shore of Spring Lake. The Clerk's Office was directed to
write a letter to the State Conservation Department for relief of this
problem.
Trustee Rustad read a letter from the Chief of Police regarding
the traffic problem at Highway # 10 and County Road H -2 crossing.
The Clerk's Office was directed to invite the District # 9
Engineer, Mr. Mc Cubrey, or his representative from the Highway Dept;
the School Bus Company Representative; and the School Patrol Representative
to a meeting May 3 at 6:30 P.M. to discuss the problem.
Trustee La Vaque reported the progress of the sewer construction
throughout the Village. La Vaque stated that a decision on how the
roads will be repaired after the completion of sewer will be announced
soon. Well # 2 is working. Trustee La Vaque requested residents to
use caution wtnile driving because of the extensive work on the roads,
added to this is that warning lights are being removed from some of
the construction sites making driving hazardous.
Motion by La Vaque to authorize N.S.P. Company to install
a 6000 lumen street light on the intersection of Hillview Road and
"reenwood Drive. Seconded by Blanchard. 4 Ayes. Motion Carried.
Motion by La Vaque to authorize N.S.P. Company to install
a 6,000 lumen street light on the intersection of Terrace Drive and
Quincy Street. Seconded by Rustad. 4 Ayes. Motion Carried.
Mr. Milt Stole inquired about street restoration on Terrace
Drive. The Engineer was instructed to investigate and report to Mr.
La Vaque.
The minutes of the Planning Commission meeting of April 21,
1965 was read by La Vague. The request from the Tred Company was
referred to the Attorney.
Letter from State Attorney General referring to purchase of
salt was read by La Vaque.
The proposed platting by Berkeland was referred to the Planning
Commission.
Letter from R. J. Houle, M.D., Village Health Officer was
read. The Clerk's Office was directed to request Dr. Houle to make
a personal check of this area and advise the Village of his findings.
Mr. Harvey Melbe, 8371 Eastwood Road asked how he could keep
'Inlicensed vehicle in his yard. Mr. Melbe to be granted 15 days
:mission to park these vehicles in his yard while Trustee Perry Malvin
Avestigatei this situation.
Clerk Blanchard reported that two fires were reported at
Edgewood Jr High School. Neither of these fires were reported to
either the Jr, Lake Park Fire Department or to the Mounds View
Village Police Department.
