Mr. Skiba was directed to investigate. Mr. E. Gustafson questioned rebuilding his home. The Council directed him to prepare a list of items he intends to do and submit them to the building inspector for approval. He was warned that the building must come up to present building code. Mr. Staples,7710 Woodlawn Drive, requested removal of debris from the area near his home. Matter referred to Hodges for contact with Herbst Construction. Mrs. Florence Peterson requested the Village to remove nails and debris from the Lois and Knoll street surface. The Clerk's Office was directed to contact the Highway Department to have an electro- magnet brought in again. Mayor Hodges reported the following items: 1. Village Hall Park was being cleaned up by sewer contractors. 2. Tables and fireplaces will be availabe soon. 3. Two more F.H.A. homes made availabel to disaster victims. 4. F.H.A. has ruled to not loan money on homes in the Hillview area due to high water table. Clerk Blanchard stated that Lakeside Park is open and classes start June 15, 1965. The outboard motor ordinance presented in 1964 was discussed at some length. The Attorney was directed to again present said ordinance for Council study. The matter of children swimming in Rice Creek was discussed and referred to the Police Department and see if signs could be posted for "No Swimming Allowed ". Mr. Rusted presented the Police report for May. (on file) Motion by Rusted to change status of Officer Timothy Smith from part time to full time effective July 1, 1965. Salary will be $400.00 per month. This eliminates all part time officers except for relief or emergency help. Seconded by La Vaque. 5 Ayes. Mr. La Vaque reported the following: 1. Water report for May. (on file) 2. Sewer progress report - schedule only slightly behind expectations due to water problem. 3. Minutes of the Planning Commission meeting held May 18, 1965 read and filed. 4. Road repair being undertaken. Mr. Malvin will make an investigation of a yard on Gloria Circle after receiving citizens complaints of messy yard.
