and award the contract for Water Improvement Project 1965 -3 to
Walbon Excavating Company. Bid was $7,000.00. Seconded by La Vaque.
5 Ayes.
The Engineer reported that there would probably be a three
week delay in the actual awarding of this contract due to some
problems with Chies Brothers Construction doing work on Silver Lake
Road project under the Ramsey County Contract.
After complaints from residents regarding the condition of
Raymond Avenue due to heavy equipment abuse by National Funds Contractor
the Attorney was directed to contact Mr. Foss and inform him that this
equipment would no longer be allowed on Village roads. The Engineer
was instructed to examine Raymond Avenue for possible serious damage
due to this equipment:
The Engineer presented the preliminary report for Sanitary
Sewer Project 1965 -5, the Long Lake Road Extension.
Motion by Blanchard to accept the preliminary report on
Sanitary Sewer Project 1965 -5 and call a public hearing on the improvement
for October 11, 1965 at 9:00 P.M. Seconded by Hodges. 5 Ayes.
The Mayor opened the Public Hearing called for this night
at 9 :00 P.M. - Mueller Rezoning.
The Clerk read the legal notice published and mailed. Mr.
Mueller stated that some of the uses for this land were for a service
station} meat market and a dairy store.
The Mayor called for objectors and they are as follows:
1. Mr.. Joe Walker - 2736 County Road H -2 - object to service stations.
There were no other objectors.
Five persons spoke in favor of the proposal.
The Mayor closed the hearing @ 9:25 P.M...
Motion by Malvin to grant the rezoning request for tracts
G and F, Register Land Survey # 153 and the West 180 feet of Lot # 4
Block # 1 Mueller Addition. Section # 7, Township # 30, Range # 23
from R -3 to B -3 and R -3 subject to the application and approval
of a building permit. Seconded by Hodges. 5 Ayes.
Mr. E. Dropps proposal for his property on County Road H -2
was referred to the Planning Commission.

Mr.. Rustad read the August Police and Animal Control reports.
Mr.. Skiba was directed to keep a close check on the replacement
of street signs after sewer installation.
Mr. La Vaque read the water report for August_.
Motion by La Vaque to send a work order to N.S.P. for
a 6000 lumen street light to be installed at the intersection of
Sherwood and Johnson Road.. Seconded by Rustad. 5 Ayes.
