Motion by Blanchard to approve subdivision request for Mr. D.E. Meckola, 7931 Woodlawn Drive, as requested, subject to filing of necessary fees -and papers. Seconded by Rustad. 4 ayes. Mr. Rustad reported that the Village of Spring Lake Park is pumping water out of Spring Lake in response to demands by Mounds View residents who complained of high water caused by Spring Lake Park, in connection with their sewer project. Motion by Blanchard to approve variance request for Mr. A.P. Nelson, 2310 Knoll Drive, allowing 51 side yard set back on west side of property. Seconded by Malvin. 4 ayes. Mr. Blanchard reported that approximately 1,500 residents has registered to vote and thanked the Civil Defense men who toured the village with the sound truck, on two occasions, to remind voters to register. The Engineer presented the compilation of figures, requested at the last meeting, for general distribution. The debris at Woodlawn and County Road I was discused and Mr. Skiba was directed to investigate and determine if this was from the tornado, and if it is tornado debris, to have it removed. Motion by Blanchard to reset hearing for Long Lake Road sewer extensions to October 25, 1965 at 9:00 P.M. Seconded by La Vaque. 4 ayes.. Motion by Blanchard to approve licenses. (List attached) Seconded by Rustad. 4 ayes. Motion by Blanchard to pay bills submitted, totaling $224,857.97 . Seconded by Malvin. 4 ayes. The Attorney reported that the Gifford Claim (legal process) was referred to the insurance carrier, who denied coverage. Motion by Blanchard that the Attorney be authorized to pre- pare an answer and defense in the matter of Gifford verses the Village of Mounds View and others including:Walter Skiba, Robert Edmond
