The above motion was seconded by Blanchard. 5 ayes.
Motion by Rustad to send the three inspectors, Skiba, Piehowski
and Edmond to the Extension Course, January 24, 25 and 26 and pay the
expenses involved. Seconded by Lang. 5 ayes.
A letter from the Engineer regarding the Sewer Maintenance
Equipment Bids that were opened December 27, 1965 was read by S. Boehm.
Motion by Blanchard to concur with the recommendation of the
Attorney and Engineer and award the bid for a combination front end
loader and backhoe to the George T. Ryan Company in the amount of
$14,563.00. Seconded by Malvin. 5 ayes.
The Attorney recommended the low bid on the dump truck, submitted
by Paron Motors be rejected because the bid was not complete.
Motion by Malvin to concur with the recommendation of the
Attorney and Engineer and award t':e bid for a 24,000 G.V.W. Dump
Truck to Iten Chevrolet in the amount of $4,535.00. Seconded by
Johnson. 5 ayes.
Motion by Johnson to concur with the recommendation of the Attor-
ney and Engineer and award the bid for a sewer rodding machine to Flexi-
ble Pipe and Tool Company in the amount of $4,678.20. Seconded by
Malvin. 5 ayes.
The low bid of Municipal Equipment Company for a rodding machine
does not meet the specifications. It was the recommendation of the
Engineer to reject the bid.
Motion by Rustad to accept the bid of Flexible Pipe and Tool
Company for a Bucket Machine in the amount of $3,789.40. Seconded
by Johnson. 5 ayes.
The Public Hearing for rezoning Lots 111 and 112 except the West
125' thereof Spring Lake Park Knolls Addition, Ramsey County subject to
5' easement along rear line of property from B2 to R2 was opened by
Mayor Rustad at 8 :30 p.m.
The Clerk read the legal notice and attested to the publishing
and mailing.
Mr. Dropps explained the proposal. The general location of the
property is north of County Road H -2 between Knollwood and Fairchild.
