The regular meeting of the Village Council was called `o order by Mayor Rustad at 8:00 P.M. on ')ctober 10, 1966 the Village Hall, 2401 Highway # 10. r ..O IALS PRESENT Mayor Ingram C. Rustad Clerk Lloyd J. Blanchard Trustee Richard Johnson Trustee Gary Lang Trustee Perry Malvin -SO PRESENT Engineer Sheldon B(ehm Attorney Richard Meyers Public W -rks Walter Skiba Motion by Johnson to approve the minutes of Septt. 26th Ps presented. Seconded by Lang. 5 Ayes Mr. E. Petersen of Red Oak Drive questioned the street -,urfacing assessment by the Village when Red Oak Drive is tieing done by the County. Mr. Meyers explained that the $1.50 _per foot covers only a portion of the entire project. The Toney is going .to defray portion of the entire project. h;s is mainly a formula of obtaining the necessary assessmA -: money for bond redemption. Mr. Peterson feels that County -: ads should not be assessed as the county will maintain. it was reported that the structures at the Mobile Home _k are being connected. Mr. Mueller, a resident was informed by the attorney nt all property in the village would be assessed a $1.50 front foot to cover a portion of the entire sewer d rainago ^d improvement. The residents were informed that Driveways will be - snaired. The matter of black dirt on Greenwood Drive was referred `o the Engineer. A letter regarding ''Employ the Physically Handicapped" ,k was read. The Mayor urged the local busineo- rcntto oly. The letter was put on file. The letter from Mr. Reeder of School District # 621 'as read. The Village is to appoint one member from the ands View Village Recreation Committee to serve with the _-ol recreation Committee The B.& E. Patrol report for September was read and The police report for September was read and filed. A letter from the Police Civil Service Commission was na.d and filed. Motion by Malvin to hire George William Kateras as part patrolman per recommendation of the Police Civil Servioo ' - sion. Seconded by Rustad. 5 Ayes. 'ihe Engineer presented contracts with Ervin Montgomery \^later project on Spring View Laae. A petition request' - -ter extension North 1641 on Spring View Lane was received -1 referred to the Engineer. Motion by Johnson to have Engineer prepare the assessment 'e for concrete curbs and gutters. Seconded by Malvin, 5 Ayes.
