VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW
RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA
MARCH 27, 1967
The Regular Meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was called to order by
Mayor Rustad at 8:00 P. M. on Monday, March 27, 1967, at the Village Hall,
2401 Highway #10, St. Paul, Minnesota, 55112.

Robert Walser, Clerk
Gary Lane, Trustee
Richard Johnson, Trustee
Perry Malvin, Trustee
Sheldon Boehm, Engineer
Richard Meyers, Attorney
Corrections to minutes of March 13 meeting were as follows:
1. Ernest Johnson was incorrectly listed under appointments to Lakesih Park
Commission. Minutes should read "George" Johnson.
2. The statement by Trustee Malvin regarding conversion of a softball diamond
to a baseball diamond should be corrected to read: Trustee Malvin commented
that he would like to see a good softball diamond developed.
M /S /P (Rustad /Lang) To approve the minutes of March 13, 1967 meeting as corrected.

Residents requests and comments:
1. Mr. Ed. Dropps and Mr. Arnold Aker presented plans and requested that the
Planning Commission approve the change from six duplex units to four duplex
units on their property with the property to be split into four separate
lots. Referred to the Planning Commission.
2. Mr. Don Haes questioned use of the school swimming pools by the Village for
the summer.
3. A complaint by a resident concerning police investigation procedures was
referred to Trustee Malvin for investigation.
4. Residents request concerning amount of money received by Attorney in 1966
will be checked out and answered by the office. The Mil rate in Mounds
View was discussed briefly.
5. A letter from the St. Paul Fire Department advising Mounds View that they
will not assist in fire protection was read.
M /S /P (Rustad /Malvin) To hire Bart Lossing at $1.25 per hour to perform janitor
duties for the Village. 5 Ayes
Inventories of all maintenance equipment were submitted for filing.
M/S (Walser /Lang) To approve the appointment of John H. Engle as Deputy Clerk at
a salary of $550.00 a month for a three month probationary period,to be increased
to $650.00 a month with satisfactory performance at three months service.
