residents commented either for or against the proposed action.
The Second was withdrawn by Trustee Lang.
M /S /P (Walser /Lang) (Replacement motion) To defer action on the hiring of
John Engle pending further discussion and the completion of further checking
of applicant. 4 Ayes - Walser abstaining
M /S /P (Walser /Johnson) To approve bills represented by check numbers 900 through
925, 1061, and 3111 through 3131. (Reference detailed list of bills). 5 Ayes
M /S /P /(Walser /Rustad) To approve resolutions on Lot Splits ( #291, #292 and
#293). 5 Ayes
M /S /P (Walser /Malvin) To approve the General Contracting License for Ralph
Lund. 5 Ayes
A Special Use Permit for the Superior 400 Station was discussed. Resident
questioned whether motel and restaurant weren't supposed to be built at same
time or before the station. Superior 400 Representative advised that the
restaurant is being planned but no commitments are being made on the motel
as yet. Referred to the Planning Commission.
M /S /P (Walser /Johnson) To approve the attendance and registration of the office
employees at the Municipals meeting on April 19, 1967. 5 Ayes
Trustee Malvin excused.
Trustee Johnson reported that he had toured the unfinished streets in the Village
and feels there is very little that can be done at this time.
Trustee Lang read the Planning Commission minutes.
M /S /P (Lang /Johnson) To accept the Planning Commission recommendation on the
Eigenheer Addition. 4 Ayes
M /S /P (Lang /Johnson) To approve the Stork and Syverson Subdivision of properties
to obtain one extra lot - Subject to approval of Building Permit by Village
Inspector. 4 Ayes
Further discussion of Superior 400 referred to a presentation by parent company
(Gulf Oil) approximately one and one -half years ago and the agreement of the
Planning Commission at that time with the general plans for a motel and gas
station. On the basis of the recent discussions with the Planning Commission,
they now request that hearing for a special use permit be held.
M /S /P (Lang /Rustad) To set the hearing date for Special Use Permit on property
owned by Superior 400 for April 10, 1967 at 9:00 P. M. 4 Ayes
M /S /P (Lang /Johnson) To direct the Engineer to proceed to devise one large map
of zoning for posting that can be easily updated. 4 Ayes
