M/S /P(Lang /Johnson) -to approve resolution #301 committing the Village
to meeting the requirements as defined by Ramsey County on the
open cutting of County Road H.
Insurance coverage was discussed by the attorney Meyers. Buildings
should be insured for a full 80;6 of actual value. Lift stations are
not covered under existing policies. Insurance companys will not do
appraisal for us.
The Attorney suggested that John H. Engle be bonded for $5,000.
The Disaster Fund final payment sent was not correct and the attorney
will begin action to try to get it straightened out.
Engineer Boehm will check on legal discribtions of the easement for
Silver Lake Road.
The Attorney received the requirements with regard to the keeping
of records by the Village office. Claims and vouchers, momsc.
correspondance and most other papers must be over ten y ars old before
distruction and then only on approval of the Minnesota "istorical
Society and upon clerks request and subsequent council approval.
The Treasurers records must also be kept for ten years.
Engineer Boehm discussed the permits necessary for the crossing of
Rice Creek with utilities.
M/S /P(Malvin /Jchnson) - -to authorize the mayor and clerk to sign the
permit lease agreement for crossing Rice Creek(Lease Rate of $1.00
/ year). 5 ayes.
M/S /P (Johnson/Lang)- to approve change order #2 for project 1967 -1
ordering the change to under water crossing of water line; across
Rice Creek at an expected $1,000 increase in contract cost. 5 ayes.
M /S /P (Johnson /Walser) to adjourn(9:38 P.M.) 5 ayes.
