who are willing to invest substantial amounts of money to construct
tax yielding businesses such as large motels, supper clubs, and so
on. As you all know, our present liquor establishments have all
invested over $250,000.00 each, and I see no reason why new investors
couldn't invest as much, or more. I personally will not look with
favor on any applicant who wants to set up a saloon in our Village
and 1 am sure that most of the residents of Mounds View agree with
me. 1 am not against business development, since, as you knot ,!, I
am an independent businessman, and I realize the importance of
commercial development, but when it comes to the issuance of our
last license, my feeling is that we should do so with great care
and thought.

Chris Piehowski brought up the matter that Mrs. Hackett have
sewer installed. Mrs. Hackett discussed the matter with the
Council that she is on ADC and doesn't have a very big income.
The Council consented to give her until July 24, 1967 to report
back to the Council, either by letter or in person, regarding the
progress that has been made. Clerk's office directed to send
a letter.
"ally Skiba announced that the painting of the inside of the water
tower has been completed. The Fire Department will use their
equipment to disinfect the inside at 6:30 P. M. , June 27, 1967.
The Village will furnish the Sodium Hypochloride. Painting
company will furnish two men for this operation.

July 10, 1967 at 9:00 P. M. is the date set for the rezoning hearing
for Mounds View Developers.
The Attorney reported that a hearing on condemnation for easements
on certain properties will be '7ednesday, July 23, 1967 at 10:30 A.M.
The Engineer reported that the contracts are back from Hennepin
Blacktopping for Street Improvement 1967 -3 and are ready for
signatures by the Mayor and Clerk.
Bob Ehlers was asked to be present at the Agenda meeting July 5, 1967
at 6:30 P. M. to discuss a Bond Sale to finance M.S.A. Street
Improvement.
