HomeMy WebLinkAboutgr00090_000020_pg074PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA August 14, 1967 The Regular Meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was called to order by Mayor Rustad at 8:00 P. M., on Monday, August 14, 1967 at the Village Hall, 2401 Highway #10, St. Paul, Minnesota 55112. Present: I. C. Rustad Robert Walser Perry Malvin Richard Johnson Gary Lang Also Present: Richard Meyers, Attorney Sheldon Boehm, Engineer M /S /P (Lang, Johnson) To approve the minutes of July 10, 1967. 5 Ayes M /S /P (Johnson, Lang) To approve the minutes of the Special Meeting of July 26, 1967. 5 Ayes M /S /P (Johnson, Lang) To approve the minutes of August 10, 1967, Vote Canvass of the Special Election. 5 Ayes Mr. A. M. Skooly of the Minnesota Safety Council presented a 10 year Pedestrian Safety award to the Police Chief, Ernest Grabowski. Fred O'Neil Food Service presented construction plans to the Council. Formerly known as Blue Nose, it is now called Fritzes - minor changes have been made in the building layout. A question by a resident on the status of an open field near County Road I and Jackson - complains of rats in the area. Inspector Skiba and Chief Grabowski will check on this. They will also check the swamp by Erickson Road. A resident complained that the Chies dump is smelling up Mounds View again. We will contact New Brighton again to request that they do something about it. Mrs. Dennis Mc Guire questioned disposition of the area behind the park (swamp area) and the drainage ditch. The area is near Sherwood and Greenfield. Wally will check to see if we can get into the area to cut the weeds. We cannot develop it yet, at this time. Mayor Rustad questioned the amount of their interest, and requested that they contact our Park Committee and try to work out a solution. A resident questioned building another garage (beside attached garage) in which to store a camper. M /S /P (Malvin, Johnson) To issue a Special Building permit to Bill
