HomeMy WebLinkAboutgr00090_000021_pg09PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA February 12, 1968 The Regular Meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was called to order by Mayor Rustad at 8:00 P.M. on Monday, February 12, 1968 at the Village Hall, 2401 Highway #10, St. Paul, Minnesota 55112. Present: Mayor Rustad Clerk Walser Trustee Johnson Absent: Trustee Malvin Trustee Lang Also Present: Attorney Meyers Engineer Boehm M /S /P (Johnson /Rustad) To approve the minutes of the January 22, 1968 meeting. 3 Ayes Frank Coggins presented his request for a permit for eight cabs to work out of Mounds View. M /S /P (Johnson /Rustad) To authorize a permit for Mr. F. Coggins to operate cabs in Mounds View. Mayor Rustad read a letter requesting a kennel license at 7770 Greenwood. Mr. James Buckley is interested in purchasing Mr. Doyle's property if the kennel license is granted to him. Council will consider this next Monday at the Agenda Meeting. Mayor Rustad read a letter from the Maintenance Mens' Union, Local 49, indicating no involvement on their part if Mr. Schlichtmann is also Weed Inspector. M /S /P (Rustad /Johnson) To appoint J. Schlichtmann Weed Inspector for 1968. Mr. Wayne Mecl, 6969 Knollwood Drive requested an auxiliary culvert near the NSSSD construction area while the street is torn up. The purpose is to allow better use of his land. The Council will not object, but either the owner or NSSSD must pay the cost. 3 Ayes 3 Ayes Mr. Eigenheer and Council discussed his selling of lots, whether utilities are paid or not. Mr. Eigenheer pays all assessments on lots where he builds. On lot sales only, the purchaser assumes assessments. Street, sewer and water assessment costs will go into escrow until assessment roles are adopted. Water looping on Edgewood will also be paid for by Eigenheer. Mayor Rustad reported complaints of dog troubles on St. Stephens. The B & E Patrol will patrol extensively.
