Trustee Lang discussed activity of the Parks and Playgrounds committee. Another meeting is planned for mid -March and interested citizens are encouraged to come and participate. Sweeping sand from streets should be done. The Council agrees that it should be done as an extension of the snow plowing contract with the county. Thursday night at 8:00 P.M. there will be a meeting at the village hall of interested parties from all surrounding communities to discuss a sports arena for this area. The Attorney will investigate legal problems regarding electrical inspectors employed in other capacities. Charles Jackson stated that on March 27, at 8:00 P.M. in the village hall the Civil Defense will have a display of equipment and will be available to answer questions on emergency procedures. The Degardner subdivision is in order if he grants a right of way as requested. Engineer Boehm presented easement for NSSSD. The job will be well inspected and ground will be returned to original condition. M /S /P (Malvin /Lang) To approve Clerk and Mayor signing an agreement with NSSSD on easements for sewer construction. 5 Ayes Engineer Boehm read a Highway Department request for approval of plans for Highway 35W and Highway 10 construction. M /S /P (Rustad /Lang) To approve Resolution # 367 authorizing the improvement of 35W through Mounds View. 5 Ayes M /S /P (Malvin /Johnson) To approve Resolution 1 368 authorizing the improvement of TH 10 through Mounds View. 5 Ayes The Engineer thanked the Attorney for his help with the HUD grant. Mr. Blanchard thanked the Council for getting 1/2 million dollars for water system construction. Mr. Eickstadt complimented the Council for the business like manner that the meeting was conducted.
