VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW
RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA
March 25, 1968
The Regular Meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was called to order
by Mayor Rustad at 8:00 P.M. on Monday, March 25, 1968, at the Village Hall,
2401 Highway #10, St. Paul, Minnesota 55112.

M /S /P (Lang /Johnson) To approve the minutes of the March 11, 1968 Meeting 5 Ayes
A representative of Highland Taxi Questioned taxi -cab licensing in Mounds
View. They were advised that no license is needed.
A petition requesting stop signs at the intersection of Greenfield Place and
Greenfield Avenue was read. It was referred to the Police Department for
review and recommendation.
M /S /P (Johnson/Lang) To conditionally approve the Dropps rezoning as requested
at the hearing of March 11, 1968. 5 Ayes
Mr. Werner, Chairman of the airport petition committee, reported on the progress
of the 'committee. He considers the MAC hearing time and place as being unsuitable
and suggested a resolution be adopted requesting the meeting to be held in the
north suburban area.
The Mayor suggested the Council discuss this at the agenda meeting next week.
Mayor Rustad read the minutes of the March 19th Planning Commission meeting.
Mr. Eigenheer's request for R1 to R3 and R1 to 83 rezoning Lots 1 & 2, Block 5
Eigenheer's Second Addition, was discussed.
M /S.P (Rustad /Lang) To set a hearing for April 8, 1968, at 8:30 P.M. on the 5 Ayes
Eigenheer request for rezoning.
The Sussel Garage request for a variance at 8333 Groveland Road was discussed.
M /S /P (Maivin /Lang) To approve Sussel variance requested at 8333 Groveland Rd. 5 Ayes
The subdivision request of Ralph Lund at 7701 Woodlawn was discussed. The
engineer was directed to check on assessments first.
M /S.P (Walser /Rustad) To approve the following licenses: Concrete Contractor, -
Barry Bjugstad, Excavating Contractor - Theisen & Sons, Gasoline Station -
Mermaid Skelly, Cigarette license - Mermaid Skelly, General Contractors - American 5 Ayes
Builders, James R. Lund and McCall & Company.,
M /S /P (Walser /Johnson) To approve payment of bills as represented by
checks numbered 2284-2318 (General) and checks numbered 185 -208 (Payroll) 5 Ayes
