HomeMy WebLinkAboutgr00090_000021_pg22PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA April 8, 1968 The Regular Meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was called to order by Mayor Rustad at 8:00 P.M. on Monday, April 8, 1968, at the Village Hall, 2401 Highway # 10, St. Paul, Minnesota 55112. Present: Mayor Rustad Clerk Walser Trustee Johnson Trustee Malvin Trustee Lang Also Present: Engineer Boehm Attorney Meyers Bids for Village pickup truck were opened, read and recorded as follows: Bid #1 Clayton Anderson Bid #2 Minar Ford Bid #3 Paron Motors Bid #4 Art Goeble Ford Bid #5 Brookdale Motors Inc. Bid #6 Main Motor Sales Anoka $ With Trade $2,100.00 + 96.30 $1,875.00 $2,249.00 $2,195.00 $ Without Trade $2,500.00 + 96.30 $2,250.00 $2,764.50 $2,599.00 $2,659.00 $2,580.00 Minar Ford appears to be the lowest bidder but there is some question about additional equipment. This will be checked out by the Attorney. M /S /P (Rustad /Johnson) To accept the bids as presented. 5 Ayes A Superior "400" representative requested another extension of their building permit to allow coordination of restaurant, motel and station construction. M /S /P (Malvin /Lang) To grant another 90 day extension of the Superior "400" 5 Ayes building permit. Tom Brasseur, Mounds View Jaycees, discussed Village 5' X 10' signs and asked for suggestions for possible locations. Both ends of Highway # 10 were suggested. Fire hall property (west end of Village) and Superior "400" property(east end of Village) were suggested by Mayor Rustad. Tom Brasseur will check on these locations. Village office will contact Superior "400 ". Mayor Rustad read a petition for a street light near or on the corner of Spring View Lane and Knollwood Drive. M /S /P (Rustad /Lang) To place a street light on the west end of Spring View Lane. 5 Ayes A letter sent by New Brighton to the Metropolitan Airport Commission was read. M /S /P (Walser /Johnson) To send a similar letter signed by our Council to the Metropolitan Airport Commission. 5 Ayes An April 22 hearing will adjourn and reconvene on April 30 at the Anoka County Airport.
