July 8, 1968
The Regular Meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was called to order by
Acting Mayor Malvin at 8:03 P.M. on Monday July 8, 1968, at the Village Hall,
2401 Highway #10, St. Paul, Minnesota 55112.
Present:

Councilman Johnson
Absent:
Mayor Rustad
Clerk Walser

Engineer Boehm
Attorney Meyers
Clerk- Typist Sandgren
M /S /P (Lang /Johnson) To approve the minutes of the June 24th and June 25th,1968
meetings.
Peter Barna, Attorney for Bernard Iblings, inquired as to the hearing to be held
at 8:30 for the rezoning of 7373 Knollwood Drive from R1 to R2. Attorney Meyers
suggested that the hearing be opened at 8:30 and objections called for then.
However, Council action would not be taken until the next meeting or the Agenda
meeting when the rest of the Council would be present.
M /S /P (Lang /Johnson) To approve the following licenses: General Contractors
license - Miles Construction of St. Paul, Inc.; Excavating licenses - Eugene
Betts, Lloyds Excavating, Husnik Sewer Service, Beaver Plumbing Company, Stan's
Plumbing Inc., Weleski & Son Inc. and Heating and Air Conditioning license -
Franks Heating & Sheet Metal Company.
M /S /P (Malvin /Lang) To approve payment of bills as represented by checks
2518 - 2532 (General).Check #2533 voided.
M /S /P (Malvin /Johnson) To approve payment of bills as represented by checks
1085 and 1086 (Bond).
M /S /P (Lang /Malvin) To approve payment of bills as represented by checks
346 - 365 (Payroll). Check # 352 voided.
M /S /P (Johnson /Lang) To set the hearing for Improvement Project 1968 -2
(Parkview Terrace) for July 22, 1968 at 8:30 P.M.
M /S /P (Malvin /Johnson) To approve assessment apportionments: Division # 38760 -
Resolution # 383, Division # 38846 - Resolution # 384, Division # 38898 -
Resolution # 385, Division # 38761 - Resolution # 387, Division # 38840 -
Resolution # 386.
M /S /P (Lang /Johnson) To approve Resolution # 389 authorizing the Clerk to sign
the Approval of Securities and Designation of Depository.
Councilman Johnson read the Police report for June. There was no B & E report.
