The Regular Meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was called to order
by Mayor Rustad at 8:02 P.M. on Monday, September 9, 1968, at the Village Hall,
2401 Highway #10, St. Paul, Minnesota 55112.

MSP (Malvin /Lang) To approve the minutes of August 12th, 1968.
MSP (Johnson /Lang) To approve the minutes of August 19th, 1968.
Residents Requests and Comments:

Mr. Robert Shelquist of the Mounds View Jaycees requested the use of the Village
Hall for Indian Summer Day, Sunday, September 15th. He also requested a one day
beer license and the assistance of the Civil Defense.
MSP (Malvin /Johnson) To approve the Jaycees request for use of the Village Hall,
one day beer license, and the assistance of the Civil Defense for the Indian Summer
Day. 4 Ayes
Dan Vaughn requested rezoning of parts of lots 58 and 59, Auditors Subdivision #89
from R1 and B3 to R3 for apartment buildings. Planning Commission recommended a
hearing.
MSP (Rustad /Malvin) To set rezoning hearing for Except the N 150' of lot 59
Auditors Subdivision #89, RI to R3 and Lot 58 except the W 100' thereof lying
N'ly of S'ly 514.63' Auditors Subdivision #89, B3 to R3 for September 23rd at
8:30 P.M.
Edwin Dropps presented a petition from White Oak Builders for improvements for a
22 lot subdivision. Property was formerly the Grande property.
MSP (Rustad /Lang) To set improvement hearing for the S 1/2 of the SE 1/4 of the
NE 1/4 of the SE 1/4 Section 7, Township 30, Range 23 and the SE 1/4 of the SW 1/4
of the NE 1/4 of the SE 1/4 Section 7, Township 30, Range 23 for October 14th at
8:30 P.M. and to order the Engineer to update the existing preliminary plans and
specifications for that area. (Project 1968 -4)
Robert Waste requested information on building a lean -to for rabbits. He has
received a nuisance ordinance violation. He would like to know what was
specifically wrong. Told to contact the police and building inspector.
Mr. Gene Gideo requested a special use permit to build apartment buildings on
land zoned B1 near the intersection of County Road I and Silver Lake Road. The
Planning Commission recommended approval.
MSP (Malvin /Johnson) To issue a special use permit to Gene Gideo for All that
part of the SE 1/4 of Section 6, Township 30, Range 23, Ramsey County, Minnesota
lying SW'ly of the center line of State Trunk Highway No. 10 and lying between two
lines, each run SW'ly at right angles to said center line, from points 765.9 feet
and 1065.9 feet NW'ly from the Southerly line of said SE 1/4, as measured along
