Engineer Boehm's Report:
Elsworth - Fankhandle Mobile Home Park financing complete. Plans expected to be
presented to the Council in early October. Construction to begin late 68.
NSSSD contractor wishes to open cut Silver Lake Road. Ramsey County says a
resolution was needed approving of the detour by the Village of Mounds View.
Open cut to last approximately one week to ten days. Mayor Rustad voiced
concern for routing of school buses and he desires the Fire Department and
Police Department be notified that the road is closed.
MSP (Malvin /Johnson) Approving Resolution #400 authorizing said detour
for a period not to exceed two weeks.
The Council has decided to meet with the maintenance employees union agent
Saturday, October 5th at 9:00 A.M. Second budget meeting to follow.
Ron Fagestrom, Fire Chief, explained the need for an increased budget for
the coming year. Mounds View presently is paying $9,000 per year. In 1969
possibly $14,000 to $15,000. The Council gave tentative approval.
Robert Edmond would like to see driveway access problems at two supper clubs
alleviated. The Council reported that the Police have been working on the
problem for the last two weeks.
