January 27, 1969
The Regular Meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was called to order by
Mayor Rustad at 8:01 P.M. on Monday, January 27, 1969, at the Village Hall,
2401 Highway #10, St. Paul, Minnesota 55112.

MSP (Blanchard /Hodges) To approve the minutes of January 13, 1969. 3 Ayes

Mayor Rustad's Report
Mayor Rustad read the Planning Commission minutes of January 21st, and a letter
from Scout Troop #167. Mayor Rustad also read a Police Commission report in
which Edward Loomis, Roger Koopmeiners and Timothy Ramacher were recommended
for police patrolman.
MSP (Rustad /Johnson) To hire Edward Loomis as police patrolman effective
February 15, 19 69 . 4 Ayes
Mayor Rustad also received a letter from Lorraine Stomquist, Clerk Administrator
of Arden Hills, in which the Village of Arden Hills has requested the school
board to form a joint committee with various municipalities to study tax base
in the north suburban area. The Clerk's office was requested to send a letter
stating that Mounds View would like to be a part of such a study.
Clerk- Administrator Zylla's Report
MSP (Rustad / Blanchard) To approve the following licenses: General Contracting -
Victor Loeffler Construction and Excavating - Erwin Montgomery Construction Co.,Inc.

MSP (Hodges /Johnson) To approve the following checks: General - Ck #s 3028 -3053,
Payroll - Ck #s 647 -680 and Bond Ck# 471. 4 Ayes
Clerk Zylla read portions of a letter sent to the Mounds View Council from the
City of Fridley in which the City of Fridley asked the Mounds View Council to
request Ramsey County to upgrade County Road H2 from the West corporate limit
to Highway #10. The office was instructed to send a letter to Ramsey County
stating the Council is considering such a proposal.
MSP (Rustad /Johnson) To approve Resolution #423 apportioning the assessments
on Division #39721.
