HomeMy WebLinkAboutgr00090_000022_pg36PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA April 28, 1969 The Regular Meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was called to order by Mayor Rustad at 8:00 P.M. on Monday, April 28, 1969, at the Village Hall, 2401 Highway #10, St. Paul, Minnesota 55112. Present: Mayor Rustad Councilman Malvin Councilman Johnson Councilman Hodges Councilman Blanchard Also Present: Clerk- Administrator Zyl1a Attorney Meyers Engineer Boehm MSP (Blanchard /Malvin) To approve the minutes of the regular and special meetings of April 14, 1969. 4 Ayes Johnson Abstained MSP (Johnson /Blanchard) To approve the minutes of the special meeting of April 21. 5 Ayes Engineer Boehm's Report Engineer reported that an application has been made with the Department of Trans- portation for a permit for a water tower in Section 17. A special hearing will be held May 22nd to decide on the feasibility of this water tower. The Engineer advised it was a mere formality. The Engineer also reported a letter was received from HUD in which they agreed to the rerouting of the water mains in the Pinecrest Properties Addition. The Engineer also stated that as of yet he has not talked to Dunkley Surfacing on the feasibility of surfacing the walkway by Edgewood Jr. High School. Mayor Rustad excused Engineer Boehm from the meeting. Residents Requests and Comments: Ray Jones from Superior Oil Company presented a proposal to abandon a service road on the property at TH #10 and Highway Avenue. A representative from Country Kitchen, et al were present also. Some discussion ensued at which time the Mayor suggested that the Mr. Jones return at the agenda meeting to discuss the prospect of the abandonment of the service road at greater length. Country Kitchen would like to construct a restaurant up to the property line. Mayor Rustad's Report Mayor Rustad read an invitation from Lake Region Blue Line Club in which a member of the Council or Recreation Committee was invited to a breakfast May 3rd at 8:00 A.M. to discuss the new ice arenas. Mayor Rustad also read the Planning Commission minutes of April 15th.
