HomeMy WebLinkAboutgr00090_000023_pg055PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA July 14, 1969 The Regular Meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was called to order, -by Mayor Rustad at 8:00 P.M. on Monday, July 14, 1969, at the Village Hall,2401 Highway #10, St. Paul, Minnesota 55112. Present: Mayor Rustad Councilman Malvin Councilman Johnson Councilman Blanchard Absent: Also Present: Clerk- Ad myinistrator Zylla Attorney, Meyers Engineer Boehm Councilman Hodges MSP (Rustad /Blanchard) To approve the minutes of June 23, 1969. Residents Requests and Comments: MSP (Blanchard /Johnson) To install a street light on the pole that is now standing between 8180 and 8200 Spring Lake Road and also to install a light between the two existing lights north of Ardan Avenue south of County Road J. MSP (Malvin /Johnson) To approve the final plat of DeGardner Addition and to authorize the Clerk to sign it. Mayor Rustad's Report Mayor Rustad read the Police Report for June. Mayor Rustad also read excerpts of the minutes of the Recreation meeting of June 30 in which it was noted that the Mrs. Jaycees had donated $135 so that the Village may purchase ;five picnic tables for the Wayside Park. Mayor Rustad also acknowledged receipt of thank you cards from the Jerry Blanchard family and the Robert Edmond family. 4 Ayes 4 Ayes 4 Ayes A letter of resignation from the Human Rights Commission submitted by Bea Ehlers was read by the Mayor. Mrs. Ehlers also requested the use of the Village Hall for the Circle Squares Dance Group for this fall after Labor Day, Sunday evenings. MSP (Johnson /Malvin) To approve the use of the Village Hall by the Circle Squares Dance Group subject to the usual clean up conditions. 4 Ayes A letter was also received inviting the Mounds View Village Council to a meeting at the Mounds View High,aSchool on July 21st at 7:00 P.M. to discuss the proposed vocational technical school to be considered by the school district. Mayor Rustad was also pleased to announce that effective July 1, 1969 the municipal fire insurance classification is established for the Village of Mounds View on a Class 6 basis from a Class 8 basis. The classification change comes about by result of fire protection improvement made by the Village of Mounds View and the Spring Lake Park Fire Department Inc. after a complete inspection of these facilities.
