Mayor Rustad read the Planning Commission minutes of March 17th and a letter
from the Spring Lake Park Lutheran Church.
MSP (Hodges /Blanchard) To approve the following licenses: General Contractor -
Victor Loeffler Contractor, Meyers Sign Service Inc., Helmut Feige, Donald
Chapman Construction Company, Cliff Posthumus Bldr., Bert T. Hanson Concrete
Construction Inc; Heating - Clarence Nelson Heating & Air Conditioning;
Sewer and Water - Allstate Plumbing Company; and Garbage /Rubbish - Rubbish
Removal Inc. 4 Ayes
MSP (Rustad /Hodges) To approve the following checks including a transfer
of interest earned on construction monies to sewer bond for Project 1968 -3
bond payments. General check #s 4023 -4053, Bond check # 491 and 492, and
Payroll check #s 1373 -1399. Total disbursements $14,958.67.
Councilman Hodges' Report
Councilman Hodges read the Recreation Committee minutes of March 21st, 1970.
MSP (Hodges /Blanchard) To hire Brauer and Associates, professional park
planners, for a basic park plan for $3,250.00.
Attorney Meyers' Report
Attorney Meyers stated that if Ardan Avenue were vacated a hearing would have
to be held.
Attorney Meyers acknowledged receipt of a copy of a resolution supporting the
"621 Growth Development Committee ", and a copy of the fire prevention code
amendments up for consideration.
Engineer Boehm's Report
Engineer Boehm stated that the HUD Project is proceeding well but that more
time may be required on Well's 5 and 6 by the contractor because of additional
work being performed. This is brought to the attention of the Council in
case he works past the completion date.
