The Regular Meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was called to order by
Acting Mayor Malvin at 8:00 P.M. on Monday, July 13, 1970, at the Village Hall,
2401 Highway #10, St. Paul, Minnesota 55112.

MSP (Blanchard /Neisen) To approve the minutes of June 22, 1970 corrected to
read "starting salary of Larry Ducheine to be $658.00 per month plus $30.00 ". 4 Ayes
Residents Requests and Comments
Robert Glazer, Paul Gubrud of Ehlers and Associates and John Herford, a golf
course architect, were in attendance to discuss the recommendation of the golf
course study committee. The committee found that the soil and terrain were well
suited for a golf course, adequate drainage existed, and the location was favorable.
The committee looked at average traffic density of other courses and gross and net
revenues.

Mr. Glazer requested that if the Council was favorable they move to have Attorney
Meyers take an option on the property and also instruct Ehlers and Associates do
a full financial feasibility study. Mr. Glazer stressed that this is the last
big piece of land available in the community.
Mr. Gubrud spoke of this being the time for the financial feasibility study.
Mr. Herford stressed that the proposal tonight was for a 9 hole course with planning
for an 18 hold course. He felt the other 9 holes could follow in 2 - 3 years.
Mr. Herford outlined the costs for an 18 hole course noting that certain items
would be less for a 9 hole.
