Mr. Herford said that 140 acres is needed for a good 18 hole course. They could
get 103 acres with the Watson property and the needed remainder by picking up the
Jackson farm property.
Councilman Blanchard felt that a hearing should be set before any bonds were sold.
The rest of the Council agreed and wanted a formal report for the next agenda meeting.
Clerk - Administrator Zylla's Report
MSP (Blanchard /Hodges) To authorize Clerk - Administrator Zylla to send a letter to
the County Board supporting Shoreview's request for an ice arena within their
corporate limits.
Clerk- Administrator Zylla read a letter inviting Mayor Rustad to be a participant
in the Ramsey County Fair parade on July 23rd.
MSP (Neisen /Blanchard) To approve the following licenses: Asphalt - Gustafson
Blacktop Company; Cement Work - Reynolds & Gagnon; Cigarette - Mounds View
Union #76- Douglas D. Brenner; Gas Supplier - Northern Propane Gas Company;

MSP (Malvin /Hodges) To adopt Resolution #492 apportioning the assessments on
Division #41863 White Oak Estates Second Addition. 4 Ayes
MSP (Malvin /Neisen) To adopt Resolution #491 authorizing Clerk- Administrator
Zylla to execute an agreement as requested by the Governors Commission on Crime
Prevention and Control for federal support in the purchase of a two way radio.

the grant agreement as requested by the Governors Commission on Crime Prevention and

Acting Mayor Malvin's Report
Acting Mayor Malvin read the police report for June.
Councilman Hodges' Report
Councilman Hodges gave a brief report on the progress of the Brauer and Associate
study.
Councilman Hodges informed the audience that starting July 21st the Lions Club was
going to build a 40 X 20 shelter in the Wayside Park.
Councilman Blanchard's Report
Councilman Blanchard stated that their will be a meeting of the NSSSD tomorrow
night.
