Councilman Hodges talked about the Brauer Park Plan and the estimated costs of
its implementation, approximately $2,000,000 according to Brauer and Associates.
Councilman Hodges says he has talked to the Metro Council and the full plan
does not have to be adopted to obtain federal and state funds.
MSP (Hodges /Malvin) To raise the pay of the warming house attendants from
$1.80 per hour to $2.00 per hour. 5 Ayes
MSP (Malvin /Blanchard) To hire the following rink attendants in 1970 -1971:
Ken Lofquist, Norman Lelm, David Moore, Gust Larson, Tom Trefethen, Mike Hodges,
Al VanRtese, Ron Grobner, Kurt Kelner and Reed Krogh. 5 Ayes
Attorney Meyers presented a snowmobile ordinance. Discussion on terminology,
and time allowed to operate followed. Attorney Meyers is to revise and resubmit
the ordinance at the next meeting.
Mayor Rustad left the meeting.
A memorandum on the Joint Powers Act as it effects the proposed NSSSD advisory
board was read by Attorney Meyers.
Engineer Boehm"'s Report
MSP (Blanchard /Neisen) To approve Change Order #1 Schedule B Project 1968 -3
for a net decrease of $104.30 and a 60 day contract extension.
MSP (Neisen /Hodges) To approve Change Order #1 Schedule F Project 1968 -3 for
a net addition of $1,425.10 and a 60 day contract extension.
MSP (Malvin /Blanchard) To approve Change Order #1 Schedule G Project 1968 -3
for a net decrease of $2,228.42 and a 60 day contract extension.
MSP (Neisen /Blanchard) To approve Check 070 and 071; $24,574.00 to Universal
Tank for the final estimate on Project 1968 -3 Schedule D Completed contract price
$148,360.00; $84,809.98 to Petersen - Templin for the final estimates on Schedules
B, F and G completed contract price $317,173.70, $102,538.10 and $300,548.56
respectively, subject to HUD concurrence. And to enter into a one year mainten-
ance agreement with the provision a certified check of $7,500 be retained by
the Village of Mounds View from Petersen - Templin as a guarantee that the
remaining seeding and site work of $3,200 be completed this spring on contracts
B, F and G.
MSP (Hodges /Neisen) To certify to HUD that we have received no sales or excise
tax refunds on Project 1968 -3 and if we do that they be deposited in the Bond
Account and our grant reduced accordingly.
MSP (Hodges /Blanchard) To enter into a lease agreement with White Oak Builders
to use their man made lake as a skating rink this winter season.
MSP (Blanchard /Neisen) To adjourn at 10:35 P.M.
