VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW

January 25, 1971
The Regular Meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was called to order by
Acting Mayor Blanchard at 8:00 P.M. on Monday, January 25, 1971, at the Village
Hall, 2401 Highway #10, St. Paul, Minnesota 55112.

MSP (Hodges, Neisen) To approve the minutes of January 11, 1971 correcting
paragraph 2 of Residents Requests to "many persons are uninformed..." 4 Ayes
Residents Requests and Comments from the floor
Roger Baumgartner inquired as to the whereabouts of the proposed amendment to the
building code requiring garages and increasing the minimum square footage per
dwelling. It was explained that data is still being gathered for a proposed change.
The dog problem in the Village was discussed with criticism leveled by various
citizens at the B and E Patrol for failure to answer calls. Dialogue centered
on licensing and impounding with conversation directed to consideration of a
leash law. Mr. Bona of B and E Patrol is to be invited to the next meeting.
Acting Mayor Blanchard's Report
Acting Mayor Blanchard read the Planning Commission minutes for December and
January. The December meeting had no business.
MSP (Hodges / Neisen) To approve the subdivision request for Donald Stafford,
8450 Eastwood Road, to purchase the South 12' of Ex S 2925' and Ex N 275' the
E 264' of W 1584' of NE 1/4 Sec. 6.
MSP (Neisen /Hodges) To approve the subdivision requests of Victor Loeffler,
builder, for Lot 10 Woodlawn Terrace into three lots of 90', 85' and 92' subject
to agreement to pay all additional assessments. Also to approve the subdivision
of Lot 1 Block 1 Greenfield Addition into three lots 105', 80' and 82' subject
to agreement to pay all additional assessments and subject to granting a 30'
highway easement on the E 30' thereof.
MSP (Neisen /Blanchard) To approve the subdivision request of Leo Bringewatt,
7981 Red Oak Drive, for Lot 116 Spring Lake Park Hillview into the N 85' and
S 80' thereof.
MSP (Blanchard /Hodges) To enter into a joint powers agreement to form the
North Suburban Sewer Service Board to represent our interests in sewage collection
and disposal in the North Suburban Service Area and to authorize the Mayor and
Clerk to execute the agreement.
