HomeMy WebLinkAboutgr00090_000026_pg07Clerk- Administrator Zylla's Report MSP (Blanchard /Neisen) To approve the following licenses: Cigarette and Gasoline Station - Elmer Peterson d /b /a Pete's Skelly and General Contractor - Krey Construction Company, Inc. 4 Ayes MSP (Hodges /Neisen) To approve the following bills: General check #s4817 -4849, Payroll check #s1834 -1895 and STS - MINN -45 check #s 076 -077. Total disbursements $22,035.88. 4 Ayes MSP (Johnson /Neisen) To confiscate meter deposits totalling $215.76 to cover uncollectible utility bills during 1970. 4 Ayes Clerk- Administrator Zylla announced that of a total billing of over $192,000 only $53.95 is deemed lost or bad debts. MSP (Hodges /Neisen) To enter into a contract with the Spring Lake Park Fire Department to provide fire protection to the Village of Mounds View through December 31, 1975. 4 Ayes MSP (Neisen /Johnson) To accept the 1970 financial statement from the Clerk and to authorize its publication in abbreviated form. 4 Ayes Councilman Hodges' Report Councilman Hodges gave a brief report on the last Recreation Committee meeting in which the park plan was discussed. Mr. Hodges also obtained the Councils direction to have Mr. Meyers accompany him to see Mr. Moga on possibly obtaining his land as a village park. Councilman Hodges stated that he had a letter from the School District requesting a member of the Village Recreation Committee to serve on the District's coordinating committee. A request for the hall on February 5th by the Girl Scouts was referred to the Clerk. Councilman Neisen's Report Councilman Neisen announced that there has been a reorganization in the maintenance department resulting in Jim Schlichtmann taking on the added responsibility of the village park department. Councilman Blanchard announced that he no longer felt the necessity of two councilmen overlapping responsibility in the maintenance department, and there- fore he would only remain a committee member in the maintenance department henceforth. Councilman Johnson's Report Councilman Johnson emphasized the abundance of material in the 1970 financial statement and urged any interested persons to contact the Clerk if they have any questions regarding it or other problems such as explanation of tax rates. 4 Ayes
