HomeMy WebLinkAboutgr00090_000026_pg083 Attorney Meyers' Report Attorney Meyers presented an amendment to Ordinance 61 redefining the composition of the Planning Commission. No action taken. Discussion followed on lack of interested citizens in committees and potential openings. Attorney Meyers reported on the Chies Bros. aborted sewer project in 1965 and on our failure to obtain reimbursement for some $24,000 plus deposited with Ramsey County previous to the commencement of the work. MSP (Johnson /Hodges) To direct the attorney to get as many people as necessary to go to the County Board meeting to inform them that if no action is taken to release the funds a lawsuit will be considered. Attorney Meyers stated that the final order of the court in Mounds View versus Red Oak Estates was filed on January 18th, 1971. Any rights of appeal are running. He read the conclusions of law in the order. Engineer Boehm's Report Engineer Boehm submitted an approved copy from the Highway Department of Resolution #511 of the Village of Mounds View. Engineer Boehm stated that he has received correspondence from the Shoreview engineer on a possible study of the Rice Creek flood plain. Discussion followed between the Council and representatives of the newly formed Mounds View Snowmobile Club on their proposed ordinance and possibly amending Ordinance #182 (Mounds View Snowmobile Ordinance passed December 28th). The Council generally felt that they would like to see Ramsey County's ordinance before they took any action but they hinted that a change will be presented at the next Council meeting allowing limited travel on streets if the club has established the organizational and operational procedures necessary to satisfy the Council. 4 Ayes MSP (Hodges /Neisen) To authorize Acting Mayor Blanchard to serve as the fourth person able to sign village checks. 4 Ayes MSP (Neisen /Blanchard) To adjourn at 9:45 P.M. 4 Ayes Respectfully Submitted, i Dennis S.
