Clerk- Administrator Zylla read the names of those that signed for proposed Knollwood.
Mr. George Gustafson, 8391 Spring Lake Road, stated that he signed for street not
knowing storm sewer was involved.
Mr. Robert Bruflodt, 8346 Groveland Road, questioned the validity of the names on
the petition.
Mr. John Sullivan, 8368 Spring Lake Road, stated that assessments were already a
burden and that he saw no benefit.
Mr. David Jahnke, 8408 Eastwood Road, wanted to know what percent of owners it took
for a petition. It was explained that 35% was necessary.
Mrs. Kenneth Bonin, 8380 Spring Lake Road, stated that in these days of ecology
some low lands are necessary.
Mr. Duane Syverson, 8365 Groveland Road, stated that every year there is a water ban,
now we are looking to rid of the water.
Mr. George Johnson, petitioner, stated that he has a right to try to develop his property.
Mr. Alan Hemsworth, 2100 County Road J, stated he bought high ground to avoid a
storm water problem.
Mr. Pat Novak, 8368 Groveland Road, stated others shouldn't have to pay for
speculators profit.
Mr. Kenneth Spry, 8450 Groveland Road, said let the developers pay full cost.
Mr. Ingvald Johnson, 8384 Long Lake Road, said the Highway Department bought some
of his land and were to take care of the drainage.
Mrs. John Clobes, 8475 Eastwood Road, declared that the Highway Department guaranteed
them there would be no water problem.
Mr. Rodney Erickson, 8418 Spring Lake Road, said he was assessed too much already.
Mrs. Arthur Abbott, 8270 Spring Lake Road, said most people bought years ago. She
favored letting the newcomers pay, since assessments were too high already.
Mrs. Robert McClain, 8468 Spring Lake Road, said we have no need.
Mr. Charles Hermann, 8360 Long Lake Road, stated that new STH 10 would provide for
drainage of his property.
Mr. Halgren, 8419 Groveland Road, said he has no water problem.
Mr. James Jalinski, 8281 Spring Lake Road, stated it would cost too much money.
Mr. John Wakariak, a petitioner, wanted to know what to do with his platted lots
since he couldn't build without the new street.
