HomeMy WebLinkAboutgr00090_000027_pg55PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA August 9, 1971 A Special Meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was called to order by Mayor Rustad at 9:17 P.M. on August 9, 1971, at the Mounds View Village Hall, 2401 Highway #10, St. Paul, Minnesota 55112. Present: Mayor Rustad Councilman Blanchard Councilman Nelsen Also Present: Clerk- Administrator Zylla (The regular meeting scheduled for 8:00 o'clock P.M. was cancelled since Councilmen Johnson and Hodges were out of town on business and Councilman Blanchard was at the mortuary due to a death in his family.) MSP (Rustad /Neisen) To approve the following bills: General Checks #5343 -5395, Payroll Checks #2211 -2232 and Bond Check # 597. Total disbursements $71,085.52. 3 Ayes The Council discussed the rash of accidents involving the village maintenance personnel and, equipment. Clerk Zylla was authorized to send a letter to the maintenance department and all other employees requesting a detailed report of any accident where the damage or loss to any equipment exceeds $25.00. The report is to be signed by the employee and his supervisor and submitted within 24 hours of the incident. MSP (Blanchard /Rustad) To authorize the expenditure of $600 to Moody's Investors Service for an application for an improved bond rating to Baa. The application was made at the request of the Village fiscal agent who felt there was a reasonable chance for a change since the village market value had increased 50% since the last bond sale, the population about 23 %,and the overlapping debt reduced by the Metro takeover of the NSSSD and the successful operation of Unity Hospital. MSP (Blanchard /Rustad) To authorize the Mayor and Clerk to execute an agreement, dated July 26th, between the Village of Mounds View and Ramsey County providing for a refund of the $24,190.28 deposited on the Silver Lake Road construction project (1966). 3 Ayes 3 Ayes MSP (Neisen /Blanchard) To adjourn at 9:31 P.M. 3 Ayes Respectfully Submitted, Dennis S.
