Councilman Johnson's Report
MSP (JJhnson /Neisen) To hire the firm of George M. Hanson Company to audit
for the year ending 1971 for a cost of $3,000. 4 Ayes
Councilman Johnson inquired as to why there was a sign advertising a double
bungalow on the corner of H2 and Silver Lake Road. He was informed that the
property was zoned multiple dwelling.
MSP (Johnson /Hodges) To authorize Attorney Meyers to make an examination as
to, one, whether we should go in with an established municipal court, two,
whether we should establish a new system with the surrounding communities which
still have the justice courts or three, we should keep what we now have.
Attorney Meyers was also directed to check on the legal aspect of deleting the
position of treasurer and including the responsibility under the Clerk.
Attorney Meyers' Report
Attorney Meyers stated that as yet he has heard nothing of the disposition of
the Chies refund from Ramsey County. He stated he has not seen the Attorney
General's opinion on Community One which ruled in favor of the Joint Powers
agreement for its support.
Engineer Boehm's Report
Engineer Boehm stated that the Teslow problem brings to light one important feeling
which the Councilmen should keep aware of and that is that someday we are going
to have to face the fact that storm sewer is going to be needed within the
community.
