VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW
RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA
September 27, 1971
The Regular Meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was called to order by
Mayor Rustad at 8 :00 P.M. on Monday,, September 27, 1971 at the Village Hall,
2401 Highway #10, St. Paul, Minnesota 55112.

MSP (Blanchard /Neisen) To approve the minutes of September 13, 1971.
Residents Requests and Comments from the floor

Rustad Abstained
Lee Vick and Harold Matti of the Lakeside Park Commission appeared to request
the Council to approve the addition to the Lakeside Park budget for 1972 of
$2,600 for general operating costs and $2,000 to be placed in a new building
fund. Total 1972 request was for $10,600. Mr. Vick stated that in his
opinion the Lakeside Park was in dire need of a new image. The Council
questioned Mr. Vick on the disposition of the swim fees and inquired as to
the whereabouts of various financial statements. Mr. Matti stated that they
are presently preparing their 1971 statement and that they will gladly send a
copy of the 1970 statement to the Clerk. The Council took no action on their
request.
Donald Kelley, 8101 Long Lake Road, complained about the gravel on Sherwood Road
which was there as a result of sealcoating. Mr. Kelley was informed that the
Village would be removing the gravel in a very short time.
Donald Chapman appeared to request the Council's final approval of Chapman First
Addition.
MSP (Blanchard /Hodges) To approve the final plat of Chapman Addition and to
authorize the Clerk to Sign it.
Mayor Rustad's Report
Mayor Rustad referred a written request by the Mounds View Lions Club to conduct
bingo two nights a week at the Bel -Rae Ballroom to Attorney Meyers for his review.
Clerk- Administrator Zylla's Report
MSP (Rustad /Neisen) To approve the following licenses: Asphalt - Ashbach
Construction Company; Cement Work - Barry Bjugstad, North East Concrete Company;
General Contractor - W. E. Nelson Stucco Company, David Christensen, Random,Inc.,
Londer Company, Classen Construction, Ray's Construction; Heating - Ace Heating
Company, Clarence E. Nelson Heating & Air Conditioning; and Mobile Sewage Carrier -
Dan's Cesspool Company.
