HomeMy WebLinkAboutgr00090_000027_pg732 MSP (Blanchard /Neisen) To approve Check #5589 transferring $36,130.00 from the Construction Fund 1971 -1 to the Improvement Bond Fund to pay interest costs to be incurred in 1972 as a result of the $655,000 bond issue. Also to approve Check #603 transferring $450.00 from the 1968 -3 Bond Fund to the Project Fund to pay 1968 -3 costs included in Check #5578. MSP (Neisen /Johnson) To approve a book transfer of $33,201.18 from the Revolving Fund to the Project Fund to pay for the costs of Sealcoat Project 1971 -3 from August 9th through October 13th. Mayor Rustad commented that although he did not believe that the intent of the ordinance was being met and was in fact against using the money for this purpose he would vote in favor, since according to the Revolving Fund ordinance a 4 /5ths vote was needed to transfer funds. 4 Ayes 4 Ayes MSP (Rustad /Blanchard) To approve the book transfer of $203,796.44 from the 1971 -1 Construction Fund to the 1971 -1 Improvement (Project) Fund to repay it for monies used from April 26th to October 4, 1971 prior to receipt of the bond proceeds. 4 Ayes A motion to authorize Attorney Meyers to codify our ordinances was withdrawn on the request of Councilman Johnson until the next regular Council meeting. 4 Ayes MSP (Rustad /Blanchard) To adopt the following resolutions apportioning assessments on certain divisions: Resolution #543 for Division #43339, Resolution #544 for Division #43985, and Resolution #545 for Division #44032. 4 Ayes MSP (Blanchard /Neisen) To approve Resolution #546 abating $693.38 as a result ) of the dedication of Oakwood Drive at Jackson Drive and as a result of excess frontage resulting from short side policy, for Division #44032 (Daileys Hillview Addition). 4 Ayes MSP (Neisen /Johnson) To authorize North Star Services to replace our existing boiler with a new Wiel McLain M6 -5W 680,000 BTU input for a cost of $1,880.00. 4 Ayes Clerk- Administrator Zylla reported that another bid from Hillsdale Plumbing and Heating was submitted for $2,306.00 and in addition one other Village contractor refused to submit a bid. No formal bids were received or requested. Clerk- Administrator Zylla announced that as a result of our joint purchasing agreement with Ramsey County we are now able to partake in a gasoline price for premium of 15.5 cents per gallon plus 7 cents federal tax. Previously we were paying 20.8 cents per gallon plus federal tax. Net savings are estimated at over a thousand dollars over the next year. Clerk- Administrator Zylla requested that the Council authorize him to pay an additional 25 per meter for 30 meters read by Elmer Adleman and for 31 meters read by Kenneth Lidberg. He stated that these were meters that were over and above what they had been assigned to read and that they required additional travel and time to return to the address in order to find the people at home. After some discussion the Council decided that if it was legal the checks could be prepared for the next regular Council meeting.
