Clerk- Administrator Zylla's Report
MSP (Blanchard /Neisen) To approve the following licenses: Cement Work -
Burton Anderson and General Contractor - Walloon Builders.
MSP (Rustad /Hodges) To approve General check numbers 5660 consecutive through
5686 and check number 5688, Payroll check numbers 2377 consecutive through 2403.
Total disbursements $21,783.51.
MSP (Blanchard /Hodges) To approve check number 5687 for $81,857.04 to Johnson
Brothers, the final estimate for Sewer and Water Improvement Project 1971 -1 and
to enter into a one year maintenance agreement.
A brief discussion followed on the subject of sand in our surface water drainage
system.
Clerk - Administrator Zylla presented the report of the Ramsey County bid opening
on November 10th. The low bids for a 1972 3/4 ton pickup truck was Viking
Chevrolet for $3,390.83. In addition Polar Chevrolet bid $3,774.15 and Midway
Ford bid $3,659.00. For a 1972 4 door sedan with 1970 Plymouth in trade,
Barnett Chrysler Plymouth was the low bid for $2,330.16, Fairview Chrysler
Plymouth bid $3,063.00, Midway Ford $2,647.00 and Polar Chevrolet $3,295.00.
MSP (Blanchard /Johnson) To award the bid on the 1972 3/4 ton pickup to Viking
Chevrolet in the amount of $3,390.83 and on the 1972 4 door sedan with trade to
Barnett Chrysler Plymouth for $2,330.16.
Clerk - Administrator Zylla announced that on November 15th the County Board acted
to require that before any parcel of property is divided at the County Auditor's
office the conveyance of land shall require a Village stamp of approval.
MSP (Rustad /Hodges) To approve the following apportionments for tax purposes:
Resolution #550 Division #43572, Resolution #551 Division #43857, Resolution #552
Division #44173.
Councilman Hodges' Report
Councilman Hodges reported on the Recreation Committee meeting of November 17th.
Councilman Johnson's Report
Councilman Johnson read the Planning Commission meeting minutes of November 16th.
MSP (Rustad /Blanchard) To approve the issuance of a special permit to John Moga
to park a mobile home on his property at 5013 Old Highway #8 subject to Mr. Moga
connecting to the Village sanitary sewer. The Planning Commission recommended
the issuance of the permit for one year. The Council however issued the permit
for 90 days subject to renewal. There will be no connection charge on the mobile
home.
MSP (Blanchard /Neisen) To approve the subdivision of James Pietrowski, 2230
County Road J, to divide unplatted lands except County Road J and except the
south 2,835 feet, the east 264 feet and the west 1,056 feet in the northeast
quarter of Section 6 to make a new lot 90 by 180 feet deep subject to granting
the east 30 feet of the property for highway purposes.
