HomeMy WebLinkAboutgr00090_000027_pg87PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA December 20, 1971 A Special Meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was called to order by Acting Mayor Blanchard at 7 :35 P.M. on December 20, 1971 at the Mounds View Village Hall, 2401 Highway #10, St. Paul, Minnesota 55112. Present: Acting Mayor Blanchard Councilman Hodges Councilman Neisen Councilman Johnson Absent: Mayor Rustad Also Present: Clerk- Administrator Zylla Clerk - Administrator Zylla presented copies of thG 1972 budget to the Council and explained the tax impact. He stated that the General Fund Levy would be $129,380, about $25,000 less than 1970 as a result of the new tax law, but that the Debt Levy would be $48,300. There was no levy for debt in 1970. He estimated the 1972 mill rate would be 37.87 up 2.13 mills from 1971 but 8.55 mills less than was anticipated before the passage of the 1971 TAX LAW. He related that the new levy also included 3.73 mills for Sewer Utility, which will enable the Council to maintain the sewer user charges at $9.00 per quarter. MSP (Neisen /Hodges) To adopt Resolution #557 authorizing the County Auditor to levy $48,300 for bonds and interest for taxes payable 1972. MSP (Hodges /Johnson) To adopt Resolution #558 authorizing the County Auditor to levy $129,380 for the General Fund for taxes payable in 1972.
