HomeMy WebLinkAboutgr00090_000027_pg88PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA December 27, 1971 The Regular Meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was called to order by Mayor Rustad at 8:00 P.M. on Monday, December 27th, 1971 at the Village Hall, 2401 Highway #10, St. Paul, Minnesota 55112, Present: Mayor Rustad Councilman Blanchard Councilman Hodges Councilman Neisen Councilman Johnson Also Present: Clerk- Administrator Zylla Attorney Meyers Engineer Boehm MSP (Blanchard /Hodges) To approve the minutes of December 13th. 4 Ayes Rustad Abstained MSP (Hodges /Neisen) To approve the minutes of December 20th. 4 Ayes Rustad Abstained Residents Requests and Comments from the floor After considering a request by the Mounds View Lions Club to amend the provisions of the Bingo Ordinance relative to serving coffee and doughnuts, to allowing a permit to be issued longer than one year, and using premises solely for bingo, the Council decided no further amendment to the Bingo Ordinance was necessary. Lowell Uber, Police Civil Service Commissioner, presented a certified list of applicants for patrolman to fill the vacancy left by the resignation of Gary Kreyer. The following names were submitted: Roger H. Koopmeiners, Sheldon R. Meile and Tabor F. Hoppe. MSP (Neisen /Johnson) To accept the recommendations of the Police Civil Service Commission and to hire Roger Koopmeiners effective January 3, 1972, or as soon as available. Robert Glazer requested that the Mounds View Snowmobile Club be encouraged to stay out of the bushy area on the Minar property since natural habitat was being destroyed. Clerk Zylla is to contact the Snowmobile Club through Chief Grabowski. Mayor Rustad's Report Mayor Rustad stated that since this was his last night with the gavel, he wanted to extend his appreciation to the citizens, Council,and staff, for their cooperation during his six years as Mayor of Mounds View.
