HomeMy WebLinkAboutgr00090-000028_pg06PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA January 31, 1972 The Regular Meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was called to order by Mayor Neisen at 8:00 P.M. on Monday, January 31, 1972 at the Village Hall, 2401 Highway #10, St. Paul, Minnesota 55112. Present: Mayor Neisen Councilman Hodges Councilman Johnson Councilman Baumgartner Councilman Pickar Also Present: Clerk- Administrator Zylla Attorney Meyers Engineer Boehm MSP (Hodges /Baumgartner) To approve the minutes of January 10th. MSP (Neisen /Hodges) To approve the minutes of January 26th. Mayor Neisen's Report Mayor Neisen read portions of the police report for the year 1971. Clerk- Administrator Zylla's Report MSP (Johnson /Pickar) To approve the following licenses: Heating - Anoka Plumbing & Heating, D & D Anderson Heating & Plumbing, Inc., Complete Air Heating & Cooling Inc.; General Contractor - Myrum Builders; Cigarette and Gasoline Station - Elmer Peterson d /b /a Pete's Skelly, Dennis R. Erickson d /b /a Mounds View 76. MSP (Hodges /Baumgartner) To authorize the confiscation of meter deposits to cover delinquent bills for the year 1971. Clerk- Administrator Zylla read a list of the persons and the addresses from which deposits were confiscated. He stated that there was only $30.04 out of a total billing in excess of $200,000 which was not covered by meter deposits. MSP (Neisen /Johnson) To receive the 1971 Financial Statement from the Clerk and to authorize its publication in abbreviated form. Clerk Zylla read a letter from Mrs. Kay Swernik, Program Director for the North Suburban Day Activities Center, in which she expressed her gratitude that the Council approved their request for funds and budgeted the money for their organization. Clerk- Administrator Zylla presented two estimates for remodeling the maintenance building to include enlarging the police quarters and providing space for the maintenance department in the area known as the Civil Defense room. Two bids were submitted with the apparent low bidder Ebel Ramacher Corporation at a total cost of $788. The other bidder was Victor Loeffler Construction for a total bid of $1,569.50.
